The Physically Wounded
Valerie Solanas was the radical feminist writer who wrote S.C.U.M. in 1967
S.C.U.M. MANIFESTO   -   The Society for Cutting Up Men
 Men, being incomplete females,
spend their lives attempting to become females.
No elements of their male society are relevant to women,
therefore, responsible, intelligent, thrill-seeking young females must
overthrow male government, eliminate money, institute complete automation.
They must destroy the entire male sex by cutting them up.

Gender Wounds
Male sperm (which carries either an X or a Y chromosome)
will determine the biological sex of a zygote at the moment of cleavage

Boty viewed Christine Keeler as a symbol of how women were
objectified, sexualized and vilified
especially when their actions involved politicians and powerful men

Pauline Boty was a key figure in the British Pop Art movement during the 1960s
She painted images of powerful, sexualized women
in a style that both embraced and challenged the male gaze

The Artistically Wounded
In the face of stereotyping and cultural opposition
I struggle for self-identity and autonomy.
Do I know what I’m doing?
No!
